Tashawit(hchawit)is a variety of the Berber language(a branch of the Afro-Asiatic family). It is spoken by Ishawiyen, the Berbers of Eastern Algeria. Our aim is to provide a free platform for the discussion and dissemination of ideas related to Tashawit. We seek to expose the beauty of shawi words and explore their creative dimensions in poetry, prose and music. We believe that AWAL, the word is the gate of cultural heritage, and that writing is the key to its permanence.
Batna : La rive des rêves en avant-première Le théâtre régional de Batna a présenté, vendredi dernier, en avant-première, une pièce théâtrale en T’mazighth intitulée « La rive des rêves » ou « Ajammad N’tarjayyin ».
Ladite pièce, la seconde du genre, traite d’un sujet crucial ou plutôt d’un phénomène social qui ne cesse de prendre des proportions alarmantes inquiétant au plus haut niveau les autorités du pays. Il s’agit, en effet, du phénomène des « Harragas », qui n’en finit pas d’endeuiller des familles entières. Ecrites par Salim Souhali et mise en scène par Chiba Lahcen, cette pièce est venue exposer et expliciter les tenants et aboutissants de l’émigration illicite qui tente, de plus en plus, les jeunes et les moins jeunes, parfois même des familles. Ce sont, selon l’auteur Salim Souhali, le chômage et la malvie qui poussent les jeunes, dans un élan de désespoir, à opter pour cette solution « utopique » qu’est la « Harga » vers la terre promise : les pays européens de la rive Sud. Mais fatalement, le voyage vers l’inconnu se termine souvent dans le drame pour eux et pour leurs familles, ainsi que pour le pays !

محمد الصالح ونيسي يؤرّخ للفنان الراحل عيسى الجرموني
ستحتفي رفوف المكتبات قريبا، بمؤلف جديد من المنتظر أن يحمل عنوان ''عيسى الجرموني رائد الأغنية الأوراسية''، للباحث والمختص في الثقافة والتاريخ الأوراسي، الأستاذ محمد الصالح ونيسي، الذي أفاد في تصريح خاص لـ''الخبر''، أن هذا المولود الجديد الذي يأتي بعد تسع إصدارات، سيكون بمثابة دراسة مستفيضة تمسّ كل ما يتعلق بالفنان الراحل عيسى الجرموني. ''فبعد صدور النسخة الأولى منه سنة 2000، عمدت إلى تنقيحها وتقديمها في شكل مغاير، ستضمّ العديد من الشهادات الحية والمزيد من البحث والدراسة، فضلا عن المجهودات المضنية التي بذلتها لتدوين أغاني الراحل قصد المحافظة عليها وحمايتها من الزوال والاندثار''. مشيرا على الصعيد نفسه، إلى أن هذا الكتاب الذي سيقع في 180 صفحة من الحجم المتوسط، سيحوي العديد من الصور، التي تعود عموما إلى بعض الآلات الموسيقية التي كان عيسى الجرموني يستعين بها في أداء أغانيه وكذا الفرق الغنائية التي كان يتعامل معها. وعن أبرز المحاور التي تشكل فحوى كتابه الجديد، نوّه محمد الصالح ونيسي بالمحور الأول الذي يتناول فيه حياة الفنان الراحل عيسى الجرموني بطريقة مفصّلة، وكذا المحور الثاني الذي يقدّم فيه نبذة عن الموسيقى والأغنية الأوراسية. إضافة إلى المحور الثالث الذي عمد فيه إلى تدوين عدد كبير من أغانيه مع التحليل والشرح والتعليق. وذلك في الوقت الذي يتطرق محوره الرابع إلى بعض العادات والتقاليد الأوراسية المتوارثة.

"Here's something that might be of interest: a German in 1926 recorded an unusual counting system from a Chaoui guy in Batna: hadellu, tninu, teltu, darbu, siqa, niqa, haitch, witch, korkor, ruwwela. (See here .) I would normally assume it was made up, but it looks a lot like one I've heard in Tabelbala, used for counting in children's games. Is this familiar at all?"
